Bitter Almond

Bitter Apricot Seed
Bitter Almond, also known as Ku Xing Ren, botanical name Armeniacae Semen Amarum (source: Prunus armeniaca L. and related varieties), is the dried mature seed harvested from apricot trees of Rosaceae family. It is widely traded botanical raw material within global botanical ingredient markets.
Our dried bitter apricot seeds are sourced from cultivated planting regions in Northern China. Harvested seeds go through shell removing, cleaning, sorting and controlled natural drying. No solvent extraction, artificial colourants, flavour enhancers or preservatives are added during processing. The finished seed shows flat heart-shaped form, brown seed coat, off-white inner cotyledon, firm texture with distinct bitter nutty aroma. Amygdalin, fatty oil and protein naturally exist within the seed tissue.

Bitter Almond

We maintain stable sensory performance and consistent seed quality for bulk export orders. Multiple rounds of screening help remove broken fragments and foreign debris before packing. Standard food-grade packaging is available, and custom private packaging can be arranged for large-volume buyers. Processed bitter apricot seed and organic grade can also be sourced on request.

Store dried bitter apricot seed in cool, dry, shaded and ventilated warehouse space. This raw material is sensitive to high humidity and warm surroundings. Keep containers tightly sealed after opening to avoid moisture absorption, oil rancidity and discoloration.
